We are pleased to announce that Piedmont Healthcare and UnitedHealthcare (United) have reached a new, three-year agreement that protects your access to our facilities and Piedmont Clinic physicians.

  • Which Piedmont facilities and Piedmont Clinic physicians does this include?

    All of the following Piedmont facilities are in-network providers for United commercial members:

    • Piedmont Atlanta, including Piedmont West Ambulatory Service Center
    • Piedmont Fayette
    • Piedmont Henry
    • Piedmont Mountainside
    • Piedmont Newnan
    • Piedmont Newton

    All Piedmont Clinic physicians are in network with all United commercial health plans.

  • What if I already canceled or delayed my appointment with my Piedmont Clinic physician?

    Because we know that some of you have canceled or delayed appointments and now would like to see your physician as quickly as possible, many of our physicians will be offering extended hours, including some weekend hours.

  • I have a United commercial health plan. What does this mean for me?

    UnitedHealthcare members will be able to access Piedmont as an in-network provider, including the 1,400 physicians in the Piedmont Clinic and all six Piedmont hospitals – Piedmont Atlanta, Piedmont Fayette, Piedmont Mountainside, Piedmont Newnan, Piedmont Henry and adding Piedmont Newton as a new provision. The agreement is retroactive to July 1, 2016, picking up when the previous contract expired on June 30, 2016. This means that any visits that occurred between July 1 and August 26 will be processed as in network.

  • I visited a Piedmont facility or Piedmont Clinic physician during the out-of-network period. What should I do if I paid out-of-pocket costs for my care?

    If you received services from a Piedmont provider during the out-of-network period (July 1 – today), and paid out-of-pocket costs associated with the visit, your payment will either be refunded or otherwise applied to your account.
